Words of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 16 Apr 2010

One piece at a time-persecuted and hated Matthew 10:22 All men will hate you because of Me, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved. Every time we are faced with persecution or faced with people hating us, I pray we would turn to our Lord to seek His counsel. WE MUST NEVER ALLOW CIRCUMSTANCES OR SITUATIONS TO DISTRACT US FROM BUILDING AN INITMATE RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM. It takes one step at a time and facing persecution is a necessary step towards building our relationship with God. Matthew 5:10-12 Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven. Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in Heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you. Without fail every time we are faced with persecution because of our faith, it is a clear signal that we are doing exactly what our Lord has called us to do. We are to be encouraged! Steer our faith because the Lord is going to brew deep passion which propels us even further. If we were never to face hatred or persecution because of our relationship with God, it could mean we are useless in the Kingdom of God. So useless, the enemy does not even bother to persecute. Jesus paid the ultimate price for us on the cross. He led the way. He showed us what it means to love unfailingly. Today, it is our duty to do the same and to follow in His foot steps. John 15:18-19 If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own.
