Words of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 10 Apr 2010

One piece at a time-hear the Word and obey it The Pharisees were excellent with the laws and following the rituals. They were so good at it they made Christianity into a religion. I pray we would be mindful of how easy it is to make our relationship with God into a ritual. The moment our relationship changes into a ritual, we will lose life and vitality. The Lord our God is warning us to not fall prey like the Pharisees. Today, let us work on our relationship with Him one step at a time. Let us work on obedience everyday of our lives till we breathe our last. Without obedience we will be lead astray by the work of the enemy. Our Lord God is encouraging us to be obedient to the Word of God. The Lord our God wants to speak to us. He wants to show us His plans. He wants to communicate to us. I pray we would prepare our hearts to Hear Him. It takes reading the Word of God and it takes praying so we can hear the Word of God. Luke 11:28 Blessed rather are those who hear the Word of God and obey it. I pray we would hold on to the Word of God with all our hearts and strength.
