The test of faith – the right perspective Someone once said to me, “If Paul, King David, Joseph, Moses, and Job were able to come back to life today, I wonder if they would laugh at our complaints, struggles, and trails?” What are we whining and complain to God about today? Pain is real, it hurts, but if we cannot place God above our situations right now, we lack faith. God’s love for you and me is far greater than our situations. As we read the statements below let us declare God’s blessings right now over our lives and on others. If God can use Paul, He can use you! Paul persecuted and killed Christians, yet remember what He did for Christ before he died. Paul has left a legacy for the world to read. If God can use King David, He can use me! King David was not even chosen by his father, his brothers looked down on him, he killed Goliath, a boy!! God see’s beyond what man sees. If God can use Joseph, He can use me! Sold by his brothers, sent to prison for a sin he did not commit, falsely judged, yet he never shrank and gave up. He saved If God can use Moses, He can surely use me! Given up by his mother from birth. Ran away and lived in the desert for 40 years. Was instructed by God to go back to If God can use Job, He can surely use us all!!!! His family was taken away for no reason, he lost everything, he was in physical pain and suffering, his friends judged him wrongly, yet not once did he curse God. God multiplied Job’s life more than he had to begin with. Today, I hope we would gain encouragement from men who have gone before us. I pray for great faith today. In my lifetime I pray to see the next Moses who would show God’s power to the world. I pray for the next David, Joseph, Job, and Paul. IF GOD CAN USE THEM…HE CAN USE ANYONE!!! Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, "declares the Lord," plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. © 2008 Shaun Lee. www.everynation.org.sg archive: www.shauntzen.blogspot.com |
