Prayers for the youth and marriages – 9 Oct 2008

Lord Jesus, you are our strength, our light, our guide, our hope, and our everything. In the power of your name we pray that every child born today would find their identity in You. In the name of Jesus we pray for a generation of youth who would not be insecure because they find their security in you. We pray for a generation of youth who would not be jealous because their identity is in you. We pray for a generation of youth who find their emotional dependence in You and not in man. God in your power you are our strength. Help us to be strong, to fight temptation. In the name of Jesus we pray for a generation of Youth who would treasure and value their virginity. Protect them O Lord. Help us pray for the youth always. In Jesus name we pray, amen. For every couple right now that is facing arguments, to the point of separation, right now in the name of Jesus we pray for our Lord Jesus Christ to intervene. Jesus right now, bind every lying tongue, humble every stubborn heart, and transform every unforgiving heart. Father, you are our hope. You are a God of second chances. Sinners we entered this world and sinners will we leave this world. But everyday we choose to die to ourselves, die to our selfishness, and we surrender everything to You O Lord. Lord let us all be reminded once again of Malachi 2:16 I hate divorce, says the Lord God of Israel. Father, we pray for every child faced with parents who have been divorced. We pray for every child faced with parents who are at the brink of divorce. In the name of Jesus we pray for restoration. We pray for healing. We pray for forgiveness. We pray that they will not bring divorce into their own line. We break fear. We break discouragement. We break bitterness. We thank you for your love that is unfailing and ever sustaining. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
