| The 6 things the Lord hates, 7 that are detestable to Him #2 Lying tongue
Proverbs 6:16-19 There are six things the LORD hates, seven that are detestable to him: 17 haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, 18 a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, 19 a false witness who pours out lies and a man who stirs up dissension among brothers.
The lying tongue is one of the most venomous weapons. Many great and influential people, even "godly" people have lied. The Lord has stated clearly to us all that these are things that HE HATES, yet why do we act as though it means nothing?
If we are lying right now to our wives, to our husbands, to our family, to our boss, to our friends, to people, to ourselves, let us right now STOP. In the name of Jesus.
The power of the name of Jesus is our strength, is our hope, and God is right now going to bind all lying tongues. Nothing NOTHING ever will go hidden from our Lord. I hope we remember this.
Self-check: Cheating, corruption, adultery, persecution, abuse, addictions, and deceiving.
It is time we confess. It is time we openly declare our lies, if not realize that God's judgment in on us.
Proverbs 28:13 He who conceals his sins does not prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy.
