Word of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 22 Dec 2007

Psalm 37:5-6 Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this: He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun. Today’s word of encouragement is focused on the upcoming year. 2008 may bring storms, turbulence, showers of blessings, and fruitfulness. But in everything: Commit your way to the Lord. We have to commit our futures to God. Some of us are motivated by setting goals for the next year, and by December we look at our goals again to see if we were able to accomplish those goals. Setting goals is great, but goals in the end of the day are just goals. We must commit our way to the Lord. We can set goals but we must commit them to God. Father, is this your plan? Is this your will? We must seek God for direction. When we seek God, what are His promises to us all: He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun. God will fight for us! © Dec 2007 Shaun Lee
