Word of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 20 Dec 2007

2 Chronicles 20:15 He said: "Listen, King Jehoshaphat and all who live in Judah and Jerusalem! This is what the LORD says to you: 'Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God's. Today’s word of encouragement comes from this verse, For the battle is not yours, but God’s. We have to be wise with which battles to fight and which ones to let go. In fact some of the most difficult battles we face could have been won easily if we had realized, “FOR THE BATTLE IS NOT YOURS, BUT GOD’S.” The most common battles that we face are with those that we love the most. Let God fight our battle, let go of our selfish desires, and watch and see as God comes in on our behalf and fight for us. Do not be afraid or discouraged because God fights for us. May this verse not only sink in our minds, but in our hearts, why? Because we get afraid and discouraged so quickly, and we aren’t listening to God. God’s voice is clear, God’s love is unconditional, and He does not confuse. Today, if we are facing situations where we are discouraged and afraid, if we are picking the wrong battles to fight; give everything to God and let Him be in control. © Dec 2007 Shaun Lee
