Word of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 13 Dec 2007 |

1 Chronicles 17:16, "Who am I, O LORD God, and what is my family, that you have brought me this far? 17 And as if this were not enough in your sight, O God, you have spoken about the future of the house of your servant. You have looked on me as though I were the most exalted of men, O LORD God.” In the verses above this was King David’s prayer. Today, I pray that this too would be a prayer of encouragement to us all. King David begins his prayer to God declaring, Who am I O LORD God? In everything, let us make sure we know that God is above all! God is number ONE! God is first in our lives! Let us humble ourselves before Him. As if this were not enough in your sight, O God, You have spoken about the future of the house of your servant. God has His best for each one of us, He is in control, and He knows our future. Imagine 6.6bln people and He still has His best for each one of us. Finally, King David says, “You have looked on me as though I were the most exalted of men, O Lord God.” God wants to bless us, we are His children, and remember God loves us all unconditionally. However, why is it that we feel that we aren’t loved or blessed by God? Maybe it is because our focus is not on Him but on ourselves or others. Today, let us thank God for God’s blessings. I hope we never expect God’s blessing, but we are always grateful. © Dec 2007 Shaun Lee |
