Word of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 17 Dec 2007 |

Malachi 2:13-14. 13 Another thing you do: You flood the LORD's altar with tears. You weep and wail because he no longer pays attention to your offerings or accepts them with pleasure from your hands. You ask, "Why?" It is because the LORD is acting as the witness between you and the wife of your youth, because you have broken faith with her, though she is your partner, the wife of your marriage covenant. Today’s word of encouragement is to those of you who are married. Marriage is a beautiful thing, God has purposed, and woven together. There are two groups of people that God has placed in my heart to pray for. First, those who are walking in marriage, but have come from past relationships that needs healing. Second group, are those that are walking in rocky marriages that are at a brink of breaking. Firstly, God is revealing to me that some of us have come from past relationships that have lingering unforgiveness, hurt, and bitterness. Though you have moved on, healing has not taken place. Remember this verse in Malachi, because our Father, our Lord is acting as the witness between you and the wife of your youth. GOD WANTS TO PROTECT YOUR MARRIAGE! Today: heal the past, seek forgiveness, and mend it, so that you can RECEIVE YOUR RIGHTFUL BLESSINGS FROM GOD. By faith, I believe that as you heal the past and heal relationships, God will reward you and your wife with children. Children are a gift from God. Today, make this commitment, watch and see God be your witness, and receive your blessing. Finally, to those of you walking in rocky marriages right now, at the brink of breaking. Look at your children; they are a gift from God. Know that the choices that you make today will affect tomorrow. The ones that will be hurt most from divorce will be your children. They too will grow up with broken relationships. The only way that they can be healed from this is through the power of God. God will act as the witness between you and your spouse. We cannot hide from GOD. HE SEE’S EVERYTHING THAT WE DO IN HIDING. Malachi 2:16 "I hate divorce," says the LORD God of Israel, "and I hate a man's covering himself with violence as well as with his garment," says the LORD Almighty. So guard yourself in your spirit, and do not break faith. Malachi 2:15. Has not the LORD made them one? In flesh and spirit they are his. And why one? Because he was seeking godly offspring. So guard yourself in your spirit, and do not break faith with the wife of your youth. © Dec 2007 Shaun Lee |
