Word of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 11 Dec 2007

Genesis 2:24 24 For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh. Isn’t it amazing how people view relationships? The concept of dating, marriage, we all have our own perceptions. But in the end of the day, who will have to live with the consequences. God states it so clear to us in Genesis, that when a man leaves his parents he will be united with his wife, and they will become one flesh. It is sad that in our generation the number of divorces have increased throughout the world. But the sad part is that the people most affected are the children. Some of us have parents who are divorced, and some of us are divorced. Today’s word of encouragement is specifically to mend and heal wounds. God purposed relationships, marriage, and when it is broken, God isn’t pleased. Though He may not be pleased He still loves each one of us. Today’s word is harsh, and people will have their own opinions. I pray and hope that we look at all relationships from the perspective from God’s eyes. Marriage is holy, in Hebrews 13:4 it says, “Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral.” Let us not only pray for forgiveness, but pray that God will heal our hearts. © Dec 2007 Shaun Lee
