Word of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 9 Dec 2007

Proverbs 3:3-4, Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. 4 Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. Today’s word of encouragement is simply to build love and faithfulness. Let it be bound around our necks, let these two essential things in life be written on the tablets of our hearts. You see, when something is bound around our neck, it means that someone or something is in control of us. Like our pet animals. Those who love dogs know that when we bind our dog with a collar, we are letting people know that this dog belongs to me. This dog has a master. When we put our pet dog on a leash, even the dog knows who is in control. When we write something on the tablets of our hearts, this is powerful. Why? Because we only have one heart, which belongs to one, our Father in Heaven. If love and faithfulness is written on the tablets of our hearts, what we speak, what we exemplify, is Christ! Today are we living examples of Christ? Finally, if we are able to bind love and faithfulness around our necks, and write them on the tablets of our hearts, what does God promise each one of us? “We will win favor and a good name in the sight of GOD and man.” May this be an encouragement for all of us today, to strive to build love and faithfulness on a daily basis, watch and see our lives transformed all for God’s glory! © Dec 2007 Shaun Lee
