Word of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 19 Dec 2007

2 Chronicles 16:9 For the eyes of the LORD range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him. You have done a foolish thing, and from now on you will be at war. God’s eyes range throughout the earth looking to strengthen those whose hearts are FULLY COMMITTED to HIM. After reading this verse today, I was so encouraged by God because the Word of God is filled with so many promises, blessings, and it is a matter of us paying attention, staying focused, and not losing sight. King Asa as great as he was, he still fell short. As the end of 2 Chronicles 16:9 says, You have done a foolish thing, and from now on you will be at war. God is more than willing; He wants to bless us all, why? Because He loves us all unconditionally. But what is He after? He is looking for those whose hearts are fully committed to Him. Today, I pray that we would be fully committed to God; it isn’t just about going to church every Sunday, or serving at church so others can see how humble you are. It isn’t just about keeping pure, not drinking, smoking, not having an immoral relationship. It is our commitment. As we face a new year ahead of us, I pray that 2 Chronicles 16:9 will be a verse that will challenge us. Lord, I pray that our hearts will be fully committed to you. © Dec 2007 Shaun Lee
