Words of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 25 Nov 2008 |

Maximize your time on earth. Jesus did and He only lived for 33yrs. Procrastination. Are you a procrastinator? Why is there a delay? What are you running away from? Is it your greatest fear or weakness? Do you feel like you are not good enough? Do you doubt God, and believe that He is going to use everyone else except you? Jonah 1:1-3 The Word of the Lord came to Jonah, Go to the great city of Jonah was thrown off the boat and swallowed by a big fish. Inside the fish Jonah spent time with God, praying and seeking God’s will. Even though we may run away from God. Even though we may procrastinate, God still loves us, and is willing to restore us. God could have been angry and could have struck Jonah for disobeying. However, God allowed Jonah to spend another three days in the fish. When we recognize that we have failed, but most of all disobeyed God, we often fall prey to sorrow, pity, and self-doubt. When we recognized that we have disobeyed God, we must rise on wings of eagles and stride forward, don’t turn back, and walk fully with the Lord. Jonah finally obeyed God and went to Because Jonah obeyed God, If we are delaying God work in our lives right now, I hope that the life of Jonah would be a source of inspiration and encouragement. God can use anyone, and God uses ordinary men and women to fulfill His work. © 2008 Shaun Lee. www.everynation.org.sg archive: www.shauntzen.blogspot.com |
