Finding the right balance – Anger/too nice, out-of-control

Let us examine our past week, month, and year. Has our anger gotten out of control? Or are you “Mr/Ms Nice person of the World”? If we are too nice to people just so that we avoid arguments, avoid conflict, this is an imbalance as well.

The one thing I have learnt from writing this series is that, finding the right balance forces us out of our comfort zone. To me this is necessary. God forces us out of our comfort zone so that we can be effective for the Kingdom of God. My prayer is that we will recognize our imbalance, pray for change, become effective for the Kingdom of God, and be used by God. There is no point being “Mr/Ms Holy and balanced of the world” and we are not being used by God. To me if this occurs, THE ENEMY HAS WON. Imagine having millions of trained, equipped, balanced soldiers for God, but they are doing nothing.

It is amazing that anger and being too nice are on opposite sides of the spectrum. However this key point relations to both, SELF-CONTROL.

If we are always angry, always having a quick temper over THE SMALLEST ISSUES, AGAIN SMALLEST ISSUES, it is time we ask God for the gift of self-control. No one likes to be around angry people. Let us be careful with our anger because if we are not careful, the enemy will use it to his advantage.

If we are too nice, be ever watchful. Don’t let people take advantage of you because you are too nice because they know that you will not put your foot down. I believe that when we are too nice, it is our defensive mechanism to avoid argument, conflict, we want “world peace”. This does not solve the issue. If we are not careful we will just be running away for our issues, the enemy will use this to his advantage, and we will carry bags of past issues.

I hope and pray that we will be challenged by God today to be effective for the Kingdom of God. There is no point fixing our imbalances in life and not using it to transform this world for the Kingdom of God. Let us be Kingdom driven.

Numbers 6:24-26 The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.
