Praying For The Nations 5 Nov 2008. Special Edition-U.S Presidential Election

Father, today we lift up President George Bush. For what the world has said about him. For what he has done well and not so well in our eyes, we pray right now in the name of Jesus that You O Lord use everything for Your good and perfect will. Father we pray a prayer of blessing on this man’s life. Remove the heavy weight of accusations, curses, judgment, and many more. We pray that President Bush would leave a legacy worth treasuring despite what our eyes may see right now. We pray this verse over President Bush right now, may it be a source of strength. 1 Samuel 16:7 says: But the Lord said to Samuel, Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart. Father right now we pray that the next US President would lead with righteousness grounded in the Word of God. We lift up Barack Obama and John McCain to You right now. Father we pray blessings over these men. Most of all though we pray that the gift of humility would be the strongest gift in these men. We pray that the next leader would lead with humility. Remove pride, remove arrogance, and remove revenge. Instead O Lord, we pray for humility, unity, and restoration. In the name of Jesus we pray for protection of mind, body, and soul right now. Most of all though we pray that they will walk firmly to this verse. Matthew 22:37 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. Father, if these men do not have a strong personal relationship with You, that they will build it right now. You are going to use the next President in a mighty and powerful way. We declare the will of God to take place over the will of man. We thank you for President Bush. Though the world may curse him, we choose today to bless his life. In Jesus name. We pray for Barack Obama and John McCain. Bless these men O Lord, and use them for Your glory. In Jesus name we pray, amen. © 2008 Shaun Lee.
