Prayers for the youth and marriages – 4 Nov 2008 Proverbs 16:9 In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps. Proverbs 19:21 Many are the plans in a man’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.

Father we thank you for the verses above. As we pray for youths throughout the world, we pray that every child would walk knowing the plan that You have for them. Lord it is extremely scary to not know Your plan. It is scary to not know why in the World You created us for. Today O Lord, let your reasons be told. Let your purposes be unfolded. We pray for open hearts and souls wanting nothing but the Lord. Father, we pray against the stubborn spirit. The unwillingness to obey. Obedience is precious. We may plan and plan and plan, but if it is not Your will we will never have peace in our hearts. Today Lord, we pray for peace because we choose to obey You. In your name, we pray that you would lead us. Amen. © 2008 Shaun Lee

Thank you Jesus for every marriage right now throughout the World. We lift up every marriage that is not grounded in You and we pray that You would reveal yourself to them right now in Your way, not ours. We declare these verses above over every marriage. I sense that many couples are worried about the future, worried about tomorrow. The Lord has clearly told us not to worry in Matthew 6:25. Furthermore, the verses above are also very clear. The Lord determines our steps and the Lord’s purpose prevails. Help us Lord to listen to You. Help us desire your plans above our own. Father, You are all that satisfies. For every couple who is currently unsatisfied, we pray for this gift to be poured—the blood of Jesus. In Your name we pray, amen.
