Word of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 18 June 2008

Poised for victory: Being prepared Psalm 51:10 Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Today’s word of encouragement is about being prepared. Victory in the day of battle is much easier to face when we are prepared. But what are the vital components that can help us be prepared for victory? There are three key points which I will touch on. First, preparation is not taking things into our own hands. Second, preparation for victory is knowing God’s voice. Finally, preparation for victory is a daily task. Taking things into our own hands. When we take things into our own hands, we are doomed to lose. Why? Because we are unwilling to let God be fully in control of our lives. So how is this important to today’s word of encouragement? Preparation for victory takes a lifetime of developing our character, and letting God lead is a vital component of that. Knowing God’s voice, prepares us for victory. There are so many voices and they are all speaking at the same time. In my opinion if we are not developing our relationship with God we will not know God’s voice from Satan’s. I hope we never reach that point. Finally, it is clear that in order to be poised for victory it is a daily task. God has given us all tools to prepare us for victory, the question is: Are we effectively putting to practice the tools God has given us? Today, how prepared are you for victory?
