Word of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 17 June 2008

Poised for victory: Being level headed Psalm 51:10 Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Today’s word of encouragement is about gaining the ability to be level headed. Victory in any battle in life is much easier to win when we are level headed. Two key factors which I want to focus on about being level headed. Firstly the emotional factor and secondly alertness. The emotional factor. When we become emotional over situations we are trying to handle, in my opinion we have already lost the battle. Emotions can pull us further away from victory. Today I know that God is specifically making me address this subject because many of us reading this are going through hurt from friendships, relationships, and nothing has been resolved, and there is no victory. If we fail to recognize that we have not attained victory, simply put—God is not in control but you are. When are you going to let go, forgive, and MOVE ON!!!! Alertness. Alertness is crucial for victory. It makes us aware and attentive of when the devil is at work. Our internal alarm system goes off ONLY WHEN WE HAVE DEVELOPED ALERTNESS, AND HAVE THE ABILITY TO CONTROL OUR EMOTIONS. Are we poised for victory today? Let us pray this week that we would surrender our lives to God. Let’s be real with God, stop hiding our inner secrets, it is useless and pointless because He can see everything.
