Word of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 16 June 2008 |

Poised for victory: Controlled attitude I would like to lay the foundation of this series right now by stating this crucial and vital fact. Victory has already been established and confirmed through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Despite this ultimate victory in life, in my observations, many people still live their lives as though they are defeated, weak, useless, and there is no point having a relationship with God because He does not love or care about me. If this sounds like you, I want to tell you that God is going to transform your life right now, but are you ready to surrender everything to God? God is knocking at the doors of our hearts, ready and willing to bring victory. The title for this new series is “Poised for victory.” The key word for this new series is poised. Today’s word of encouragement is: controlled attitude. In my opinion, a key component to being poised for victory is having controlled attitude. There are two key points that I would like to address right now. Firstly, be conscious and aware of what ticks you. Secondly, controlled attitude is a lifetime commitment, and it takes work. It is easy to pin-point what ticks you. What gets you easily irritated? What gets you angry, frustrated, etc? Our attitude determines so much. If we simply let go and forget about these attitude problems, we will grow mold inside our hearts, unclean and useless for the No one is perfect, and we all make mistakes. Those willing to control their attitude, wanting to remove their negative attitude are the ones that have built a strong relationship with God. God has sets them apart, why? Because He is going to use them for His Kingdom to complete His purpose. The only way we can know hour our attitude is right now, is by asking God firstly, and then asking our closest friends. If we really want to be serious with God, we have to take our attitude seriously. Victory is at hand, are we ready for it? Psalm 51:10 Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. © June 2008 Shaun Lee. www.everynation.org.sg archive: www.shauntzen.blogspot.com |
