Word of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 20 Oct 2007

In Isaiah 40:28-29 the Word of God says to us, “Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. 29 He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.” As we head into the weekend it seems that many of us came through a power packed week, giving our best and the motor just keeps pumping and pumping. However, the moment we reached the weekend, we are drained, tired, and don’t have the energy to spend time with God, our children, etc. As tired as we may be, I hope that we would be encouraged by today’s word. God never grows tired or weary. God never grows tired loving us. He never grows impatient with us, but by His grace and patience He waits for each one of us to come to Him, to run to Him for comfort. Today have we run to God, have we not show love towards others? Let us love others the way God loves us. Let us pray verse 29 over our lives, and remember that our Lord Jesus Christ gives us strength to the weary and increases power of the weak. Man cannot pull us down, we can only stand and rejoice, stand and shout the name of the Lord because He is first, He is our Father, friend, and savior. Let this be a daily reminder whenever we feel weary and weak! God is our Strength, comforter, and He gives us power to overcome. © Oct 2007 Shaun Lee
