The word of encouragement today is not to keep things inside and go on living everyday without ever resolving issues. Too often we walk around with an outer shell, showing others that we are ok, we are fine, but deep down we are alone, sad, lost, and hurting. God wants us to be authentic, real with Him, and by hiding everything inside it isn’t being authentic.
Our Father today wants us to walk completely free from all that we are keeping inside. The key is God wants us to have an “authentic relationship” with Him. And you know what; you cannot fake an authentic relationship with God.
As we face the weekend, and head into another week, let us spend some quality time with God, and build an authentic relationship with Him. Ask yourself these questions now, how much time do you spend talking (praying) with God, how must time do you spend reading God’s word, and how often do you die to yourself?
God is looking for authenticity, real and submitted sons and daughters, today let us pray for more of this, and a greater portion of Lordship in our lives.
Acts 20:19, “I served the Lord with great humility and with tears, although I was severely tested by the plots of the Jews.” Let us follow in the foot steps of Paul, who was authentic with his relationship with God. Life will bring tears, life will be a battle, but today let us all choose to pray this verse over our lives and say, “I choose to serve the Lord with great humility and with tears.”
