Praying for the restoration of nations and for those in need ~ 21 Jan 2010

Praying for the restoration of nations and for those in need ~ 21 Jan 2010

Psalm 18:2 The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

Lord in Your mercy and love, we continue to pray for the nation of Haiti. Lord, we know that You are mighty, and we know that You are in control.

Just as Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were thrown into the fiery furnace they knew that their Lord would save them, but if He would not they still would not give up worshiping our Lord. We pray for this faith today. We pray that the nation of Haiti will be transformed by Your power and glory.

It is easy to look at the destruction and be consumed by worry, fear, and doubt. We pray for Your children to rise in this hour to stand in the gap.

Today, God has called us to encourage the people of Haiti through prayer. Let us not give up! In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We pray that the light of our Lord would fall upon those who need You most. You O Lord hear their cries, hear their desperation, and know their exact needs. Today, we pray that Your children from all over the world would be blinded by Your light. Caused and compelled into action, to make a difference in the lives of those that God cares about.

We claim righteousness to speak forth and humble the proud, the abuser, and persecutor. You O Lord bring justice to those who treat the poor and weak with abuse.

O Lord we offer our lives right now as living sacrifices. We pray that our lives would be acceptable in Your sight for the work that is at hand. Do we really know what God is saying? Do we really know what God wants us to do? In the name of Jesus speak to us today O Lord., amen.
