Prayers for the youth and marriages ~ 10 Jan 2010 1 Corinthians 12:26 If one suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honoured, every part rejoices with it.

Lord we pray that our children will not be self-centred and self-focused. This is the hour and this is the season when our children will begin to think of others before themselves. Do unto others as you want them to do unto you. We pray that our children will follow in the footsteps of one person and Him alone. We pray that they will look at the meaning of life and begin to define it at a young age. To not know our existence and why we have been created is scary and sad. O Lord, every child is precious. Every child has been created by You for a reason. Today, help us to declare their gifts, call out their destiny, and most of all be used to water their seed in righteousness. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

O Lord, You are our light and source of strength. For some couples, these words need to be ingrained on Your heart. It is easy to give up, it is easy to fall and not care. Today, God wants us to rebuild what has been destroyed. It is time we drown out the noise, drown out the busyness of life. It is time we remain still, be quiet, and find our secret place where we can be with God. God wants to restore our hearts, God wants to restore our marriage and most of all our family. It starts with us. Change needs to begin, and we pray for change right now. We break our stubbornness, the enemy is chocking some of us, and we render the enemy powerless right now. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
