Words of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 18 Dec 2009

Empty promises-waste of time I pray we would identify everything in our lives that are an utter waste of time. Things that are a waste of time not in our own eyes or based on our feelings, but things that God says remove or we will continue to fill our lives with empty promises. Do we know exactly the stumbling blocks we are to remove? It ranges from sin issue to character flaws, our attitude, actions, and desires. We will know exactly what they are because these are areas which upset God and make Him mad. If we do nothing to change, fix, and remove; expect nothing back in return. How can a bad tree produce good fruit? The Word of God proves that it is impossible. Please read Matthew 7:17-19. God wants complete Lordship from now on; I pray we would desire this. There are definitely areas in our lives which we must do more of. However, because of our inability to remove certain stumbling blocks, we are unable to do more of what God looks at as worth more than diamonds and gold. God is clear as to what we must do more of. Reading the Word of God daily, talking to Him, worshiping Him in every aspect of our lives, honouring and caring for people, the list is simple and not complicated. However, it requires us to read the Word to find out. I pray we would do two very important things on a daily basis. Remove what God says remove and implement what God says we must implement more of. Proverbs 12:27 The lazy man does not roast his game, but the diligent man prizes his possessions.
