Bridging the gap – between generations

Ezekiel 22:30 I looked for a man among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found none.

Be that bridge that connects the different generations. Honestly, I believe that God has called us to be bridges that connect the many different generations.

It saddens my heart when I see parents giving up on their children because of the generational gap. However, it also saddens my heart when I see children giving up on their parents, showing bad attitude because of the generational gap.

Today, God wants us ALL to be that bridge. I believe that right now God is going to speak directly to us. Whether it is to adjust our lifestyles, adapt to the older/younger generation, or to sacrifice our own interest, God is going to tell us exactly what we need to do.

I pray that we would obey God. My prayer is that no longer will there be any age gaps, but instead there with be “age bridgers.”

Prayers for the youth and marriages – 3 Feb 2009

Deuteronomy 11:1 Love the Lord your God and keep His requirements, His decrees, His laws and His commands always.

Lord we pray for our youths. Help them today to see You. Help them know that they are loved by You.

Father, many children do not know the meaning of love, and today, we pray that they would begin to experience true love that can only come from the Lord.

Father, we pray that You would comfort every youth right now that feels useless, a waste of a life, and worthless. Father, everyone is of worth and value, in You! In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Today, we pray that the Lord will be our shepherd, light, and guide. Father, we pray that You would lead every marriage. Most importantly, we pray that couples would not lead foolishly.

Father, we pray for greater wisdom and truth today. Father, speak to our hearts and souls. May you comfort those that need You desperately right now. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Genesis 26:24 I am the God of your father Abraham. Do not be afraid, for I am with you; I will bless you and will increase the number of your descendants for the sake of my servant Abraham.

#118 Macedonia

Father, we pray for the nation of Macedonia right now. Thank you Lord. Thank you for everything that You have planned and are going to do through this nation.

Lord, we pray that the light of the Lord would always shine on this nation. We pray that generations of righteous and holy children would rise. Lord, we pray that these children would be used in every area of society. From politics to education, to major industries.

Most importantly we pray that this nation would be recognized for its family values and unity. Lord, may this nation build with the right principles. The Word of God. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Father, we pray right now that every poor person would find their value not from the world’s standards, but from You. You O Lord, are our righteous judge.

Father, we pray that You would be their strength. The world abuses, condemns, and persecutes. However, You O Lord are the guide and light to the poor. You are our comfort. You are our strength.

God, today we pray that we would be faithful and we would place our trust in You and not in human ability. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Bridging the gap – the lost sheep

As we begin this new series on bridging the gap. It is vital and important how we view the lost. If we are not being used as bridges then are we not listening to God? Are we being disobedient?

It is important that we don’t force the Bible down people’s throats and we learn to be relatable. If we are not careful and wise, we could deter people from knowing what a real relationship with God is like. However, doing nothing to me is far worst in my opinion.

Standing in the gap allows the lost to find their way back home. Matthew 18:12-13 What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off? And if he finds it, I tell you the truth, he is happier about that one sheep than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off.

God is happier about that one sheep that was found then the ninety-nine that never wandered off. Today, I hope that we can be that bridge in people’s lives. Especially to those that are lost in this world.

Prayers for the youth and marriages – 2 Feb 2009

Deuteronomy 11:1 Love the Lord your God and keep His requirements, His decrees, His laws and His commands always.

Lord we pray for faithfulness today. We pray that our children would be faithful and obedient to Your voice. Father, just as you spoke to Moses; we pray that our children would continue to draw closer to You so that they will be able to know Your voice.

Father, we pray that our children would continue to humble their hearts. We pray that they would shake off the dust that blinds them for seeing and knowing everything that is of You.

God almighty, as we speak right now there are many disobedient children who are scared, fearful, and are wasting their lives away chasing after false dreams.

Today, we pray that You would open their eyes to see what a real dream in life is like. Lord, teach us, humble us, and we pray that the Lord’s hand would never be too short to discipline. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Father, we pray for every marriage today. We thank you that You are in control. Even with the most hardened are humbled by You power, love, tenderness, and all that defines our Lord.

Today O Lord, we pray that every marriage would magnify the name of the Lord. We pray that marriages would grow more and more in love with each other.

Father, today, we pray that we would be able to over look offenses. Help us be quick to forgive. Help us to be wise in our words. For those that have tongues that spit poison out, we pray that the Lord’s hand would bind their mouths, and only words that encourage, lift up, and restore shall be spoken.

We thank you Lord. We pray that marraiges would change today, because of You.

#117 Macau

Father, we pray for Macau. We thank you for this territory of China. Lord, we pray that in this generation this nation would change. Father we pray that it would change all for Your glory and purpose.

God almighty we pray right now that You would begin to shake the very foundations that Macau has been grounded on for so long.

We pray that righteousness, integrity, moral values, and family ties would be the central pillars. Today, we thank you Lord. We declare this nation Yours. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Lord, we thank you that You are our redeemer, our light, and our refuge for the poor. We thank you for their lives. We pray right now that Your loving kindness would shelter and protect.

Lord, we pray that nations would untie with a central purpose and plan to bring healing, restoration, and transformation. Lord, there will always be poor people, and there will always be people who are starving. However, we still have the ability to make a difference.

Today, we pray that You would speak to us. Give us clarity. Speak to us and show us visions of what needs to be done. Lord, you are in control. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Bridging the gap

In this new series titled, bridging the gap. I believe that God is going to propel us into action. There is no point being a “perfect” Christian if we are not doing something that bridges the gap.

In this world there are many gaps that separate us from God. In this lifetime we have the ability to make a difference and God wants to use us. In the future, we are 100% guaranteed to face many gaps and many holes that separate us from God. But are we going to be the bridge?

Today, God is challenging each one of us to be that bridge in people’s lives that they may know what a personal relationship with God is like. It is not about forcing people to be Christians. It is not about how many get “saved” and go to church. It is all about being a bridge in people’s lives so that they can have a personal and real relationship with God.

Isaiah 59:1-2 Surely the arm of the Lord is not too short to save, nor His ear too dull to hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear.

These verses are the foundation of this new series. Why are we not being a bridge in people’s lives? And how can we begin to be that link?
