Words of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 13 Jun 2010

Come follow me-into the wilderness Hebrews 11:8 By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would alter receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going. Often our Lord Jesus Christ calls us to follow Him into the wilderness. The wilderness is a place many of us do not want to go because we know what we are going to expect. It is going to be hard, trying, and suffering is but assured. The unknown and the uncertain. Only our Lord knows our future. To be able to trust in the Lord is to surrender everything and walk in obedience. It is very clear when we are disobedient to God. Our heart starts to ache. Our minds are not clear. Our soul is constantly reminding us to go back to the Lord for guidance. I believe our Lord calls us to the wilderness for a reason. It is a sign of obedience and complete surrender to Him. Do we really love our Lord with all our hearts? Are we really obedient to Him or not? We cannot hesitate when our Lord calls us to follow Him. We may be at our most comfortable state when our Lord calls us. Would we choose comfort over obedience to our Lord? � 2010 Lee Shaun Tzen. www.everynation.org.sg
