| Prayers for the youth and marriages – 31 Jan 2009 Proverbs 19:27 Stop listening to instruction, my son, and you will stray from the words of knowledge. | |
| Father, we pray for our youth. Today we pray that You would pierce the hearts of every rebellious child. Lord, we pray that You would humble their hearts. Allow them to recognize and realize why they are being rebellious. We pray against rebellion. We pray that every youth would realize the importance in respecting and honoring their parents, others, elders, and peers. Today, we pray that our children would walk in humility. In respect. But most importantly they would recognize the importance in worshiping and singing praises to You. Lord, let this be the new cool. The old has gone and the new has come. In Jesus name we pray, amen. © 2009 Lee Shaun Tzen | Lord, we pray that every marriage would be founded in the Word of God. We pray that the Bible would be the most vital component in every marriage. For every husband and wife that has taken for granted their walk with You, we ask for forgiveness. Lord, let the Word of God never depart from our mouths, hearts, and minds. Lord, I sense many marriages weakened because they have dried up their souls. Our souls need to hunger and thirst for the Word of God. If we keep reading the same verses over and over again, we are no different that those seeds there were thrown on rocks. They grew but died because their roots had weak foundation. Lord, humble us today. In Jesus name we pray, amen. |

| Let God define love in your life – Selfless and never selfish Love defined by God is selfless and is never selfish. If love was selfish, then why would God give Jesus selflessly to save ours? We are immoral, sinful, corrupted, evil, and to some degree despicable. Yet Jesus gave His life up to save ours. Today, God wants to imbed in our hearts the definition of love that is selfless. By our own power, might, strength, and will; we can TRY to be selfless. But this is not selfless. This is still doing something selfishly. Love defined by God is selfless. There is no escaping this truth. There are no hidden motives behind love. It is out of pure and honest love defined by God that we give selflessly. The question I have for you today is, have you come to a point in your life that you are able to give love selflessly, because God defines love in your life? Or are you still trying, and trying, and trying to be selfless. Today, stop trying and start redefining love in your life. Only God can redefine love. James 3:16 For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice. © 2009 Lee Shaun Tzen. www.everynation.org.sg archive: www.shauntzen.blogspot.com |

| Prayers for the youth and marriages – 30 Jan 2009 | |
| Lord we pray for our youths today. We thank you for their lives, their purposes, and existence. Father, many have been born into this world because of circumstances. We pray right now that they would never let these past circumstances define their lives. Father, we pray for every youth who struggles with their identity. Father, may they find restoration today, because they are made in You. In the name of Jesus we pray for healing to take place for those that have been abused as children. Memories are not easily forgotten. However, new memories are made each day, especially those from the Lord. In Jesus name we pray, amen. © 2009 Lee Shaun Tzen | Father, may Your light always shine on every marriage. Father, many marriages are faced with storms and trials right now. We pray that You would be their strength, their light, and guide. Father, we pray that the Lord’s comfort would rest on every marriage right now. God we pray that couples would not live paycheck after paycheck. Instead, we pray that they would live by faith. You O Lord, are our light. Today, we pray for every broken marriage. May they find refuge, in Your light. In Jesus name we pray, amen. |

| #114 Father, we pray that Lord, we pray that You would continue to anoint this nation through wisdom and integrity. Father, as a form of attracting business by our human capabilities we deceive. In the name of Jesus we pray that this nation would not be known as a nation that attracts dirty business. However, it will be known as a nation that does business righteously because of the Lord Jesus Christ. We pray that You would continue to raise up great leaders from this nation that love You most of all. In Jesus name we pray, amen. © 2009 Lee Shaun Tzen | Majesty, You are the King of all glory. Father, we pray that our lips would always praise You. We pray that even the sick, starving, poor, and homeless would praise the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Father, we pray that You would always be with your children who need You most. Father, we pray that You would pour Your blessings on them. Especially on the starving. Lord, it saddens me to know that so many ill people cannot afford medical treatment because of how expensive it is today. Lord Jesus, we pray that a mighty generation of doctors would rise to power. May they be lead by You and not the world. May they be used by You because they do not love money. God almighty, we thank you for what is going to take place today. In Jesus name we pray, amen. |

| Let God define love in your life – a bowl of lentil stew As we continue our series on love defined by God and no one else, I hope that today’s words of encouragement would remind us all how much our Lord loves us. Just for a bowl of lentil stew, Esau gave up his birthright. Another way of looking at this is, Esau valued his birthright as much as a bowl of soup. As hungry and thirsty as we may be, would you give up your birthright for a bowl of stew? Genesis 25:34 says, “So Esau despised his birthright.” Today, I pray that we would never forget what love is through this story on a bowl of lentil stew. God has created each one of us uniquely. He loves us all so much that we all have an individual purpose and reason for living. However, not everyone will lead and some will serve. Genesis 25:23 Two nations are in your womb, and two peoples from within you will be separated; one people will be stronger than the other, and the older will serve the younger. In my opinion, in order for us to define love in our lives through our Father, we must be able to accept and love what God has given us as our birthright. If we are unable to accept our birthright, we will never be able to fully love God. Today, are we selling our birthrights for a bowl of lentil soup? Is life too hard? Are we not good enough? We want a different birthright and not what God has given us, have we totally missed the meaning of life, just for a bowl of soup? © 2009 Lee Shaun Tzen. www.everynation.org.sg archive: www.shauntzen.blogspot.com |

Prayers for the youth and marriages – 29 Jan 2009
| Prayers for the youth and marriages – 29 Jan 2009 Deuteronomy 11:1 Love the Lord your God and keep His requirements, His decrees, His laws and His commands always. | |
| Lord Jesus, we thank you for every single child. All are precious in Your sight. All have a purpose and reason for living. Father, today we fight against criticism. We stand up to false judgment and lies. WE ARE NOT DEFINED BY ANYONE BUT YOU. Father, even the most deformed, the mentally challenged, and the weaker ones have a reason for living. Today, we claim their lives unto You. They are Yours and Yours alone. Father, shake us. May this world be a different place because of our prayers. In Jesus name we pray, amen. © 2009 Lee Shaun Tzen | Father, we pray that the gift of forgiveness would be imbedded in our hearts right now. We pray for every single marriage. From the longest to the shortest, it does not matter. Forgiveness needs to be at the tip of our tongues always. Lord we pray against bitterness. Many marriages are walking in bitterness. Bitterness towards their spouse, children, themselves, and the world. Lord God, we pray for release. We pray that we would be able to move on. In the name of Jesus, we pray that marriages would be transformed today because of You. In Jesus name we pray, amen. |
