What you value most - #8 A call, a cause, greater yourself Today’s word of encouragement is about valuing a cause that is greater than yours. Is God’s cause higher than your dreams, higher than your desire? It is easy to say yes, but do we really mean what we say? Why are we doing the things that we are doing? If we cannot answer this question, or if we are trying our hardest to defend out cause, most likely we have absolutely no idea why God created us for. Would you rather be wealthy and rich but die without ever fulfilling your purpose? Or would you rather be tested, tried, persecuted, and challenged because you are fulfilling and doing exactly what God called you to do? There are many questions that we need to answer. I hope we are in communication with God. There is only one person you really need to answer these questions to and that is God. Thank you for each child that is precious in your sight. We pray today that the Lord Jesus Christ will be the placed above everything in life. In the name of Jesus we pray for peace to be established in nations of poverty, nations of war and violence, and nations of religious tension. We pray that the Word would be ingrained in the lives of all the youths. Where there has been confusion, doubt, corruption of the moral mind, by the power and blood of Jesus we pray that you would bind and remove all that is not of You Lord. We pray that peace would be established throughout the world through the youth of today. Lord God you love each child so dearly. Protect them today, use them today, and pour your endless love on those that do not know you. In Jesus name we pray, amen. Psalm 100:3 Know that the Lord is God. It is He who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. © 2008 Shaun Lee

Father, we pray for the gift of leadership to be poured upon each man today. Teach us Lord how to lead. You lead, you guide, and you direct. We pray for more of you in our lives daily. Father, it is clear that leadership cannot be given to us, if we are not men of the WORD. Help us today Jesus. If we have lost the desire for the Word, if we are not hungry for the Word, in the name of Jesus we pray for our hearts to be changed. Father, teach us how to lead with righteousness. Help us to lead our homes, help us lead our wives by the love You first gave us and showed us. Help us Lord for we are weak, we are flawed, and we are imperfect. Give us the strength, give us the encouragement. May we be examples to the next generation, God shape us, mold us, and anoint us. In Jesus name we pray, amen. Word of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 24 Sept 2008

What you value most - #7 Regaining your strength My brother Kern says this so aptly, "Don't let words or what people think of you stop you from fulfilling God's plans in your life. The enemy knows that this is his only weapon against you." Today's word of encouragement is learning how to regain your strength that can only come from the power of God who lifts us up. We need the WORD OF GOD IN OUR LIVES DAILY!!! I would like to use my own life as an example because right now this very moment, I am faced with many battles internally. The word immature has been my greatest enemy since I was a teenager. Till today at 28, people still think I'm immature. Writing this Daily Word, I have faced many battles, and if I would allow accusations and offenses to seep into my life, I probably would have given up writing this daily word of encouragement a year ago. Let us remember, that this is the only weapon the enemy has from stopping us. I could go on and on and on with all the battles I'm facing, but in my opinion we will always face battles. Battles in life keep us on our toes. Quitters look at battles and shrink back. Winners look at battles and know they are going to be used by God. Today's word has made me realize that it is so easy to give up, and it is so easy to tear down people. Are we going to be quitters, are we going to give up just because people or someone is judging you and criticizing you? Are we going to continue criticizing and looking down on people? Maybe it is time we build up, encourage, and strengthen each other. Don't let the enemy win. As a brother, as a friend, and as a sinner, let us all regain our strength that comes from the Lord. Psalm 28:7 The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. Father, each and every child is precious to you in your sight. We thank you for their birth. We thank you for their creation. Each child has been made by You O God for a purpose, and today we pray that we would all run to your feet and desire to find out why in the World You created us for. Father, we pray that youths today would not feel lost and alone in this world. But we pray that they would be grounded and rooted in the Love of the Lord that never fails. Today O Lord, open our eyes, open our hearts, let us pray with all our hearts that you would bless and bless and bless the youth of the next generation that are going to be used by God mightily. Esther 4:14 For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to royal position for such a time as this?

O Lord, I may not be an expert on marriages. I may not even be an expert on youth issues. But Lord, you have called us to pray for the youths and for marriages EVERYDAY. How awesome is it to know that someone out there is praying for your marriage and praying for your children. I pray that God would bless and protect your marriage. Today, let us offer our prayers with all our hearts and with all our souls. The Lord says, watch and see divorce rates will come down because of our prayers. As we continue our prayers for husbands and fathers throughout the world. God we pray for the gift of humility would be poured on each man right now in the name of Jesus. Give us ears; give us hearts that will be willing to be taught. No one is perfect! God has blessed husbands with a life partner do not take her for granted, treasure her, and watch and see God use this dream team all for His glory. In Jesus name we pray, amen. What you value most - #6 Would you still love God Let’s say you do everything right. You are after what God wants in your life, and you are running after what God wants. But then you lose a loved one, or you get into an accident, would you still love God? Today’s word of encouragement is about putting things into the right perspective. Is God after our happiness? Is God after how famous we are going to be? How successful? Of how pain free our lives are going to be? What is God really after? Would we still love God if everything was taken away from us, even our dreams? Would we still strive as hard as we can to fulfill what God wants us to do? God wants us to check our hearts and everything that is inside it. I hope we wont leave any stone unturned, but examine everything inside it. Tell God today, if you really love me above all. Father, in your mercy bring healing, peace, transformation, and establish your Holiness as the solid and firm foundation in the youth of today. Father, you are the way, the truth and the life. No one will ever go to the Father except through the Lord Jesus Christ. Today, we declare that your Word will always be the truth. Not science books, not “mother nature”, not evolution, not idolatry. But the name of Jesus will be the guide, the light, and we pray today that the Word of God will be treasured by the youth. We pray blessings upon the youth. You love them dearly, and you are going to use them. We thank you and praise your name. In Jesus name we pray, amen. Habakkuk 2:18 Of what value is an idol, since a man has carved it? We thank you today for all marriages. Today, we embark on a series of prayers focused on strengthening husbands and fathers throughout the world. As we pray specifically for husbands and fathers, help us Lord. Help us to hear you clearly, help us submit our own perceptions, help us to desire and want to be moulded, changed, and give us a teachable spirit that wants to change because we love you above all. Wives during this series do not give up praying for your husbands. Do not give up praying for your sons. God is going to ignite a fire in MEN right now. It is going to be a season of transformation. You are a key person in the life of your husbands and sons, God is going to use you. Today, we thank You Lord for challenging men throughout the world to not take the backseat in their marriages. Thank you that you are challenging fathers’ to play a vital and impactful role in the development of their children. Today we declared by the blood of Jesus that men will no longer be weak, but strong!! Because of you O Lord. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

What you value most - #5 Don’t let circumstances stop you from fulfill your action plan Again James 2:17 says, “In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.” It is very clear that God wants us to be men and women of action. Proverbs 20:11 says, “Even a child is know by his actions, by whether his conduct is pure and right.” Today’s word of encouragement is: Don’t let circumstances stop you from fulfill your action plan. In my opinion, if we allow circumstances in life to dictate our life we will never fulfill our action plan. Remember that our action plan is God’s plan and not our plan. The devil wants to hold us back, wants us to stagnate, and never pursue God’s plans for our lives. Imagine, if the devil takes so much EFFORT to stop you from fulfilling God’s plans. Wow! God must have a great and mighty plan for each and every one of us. It is evident that God wants us all to be thrown into the deep end of the pool. Though we could drown, though we could suffer injures, get hurt, emotionally scared, SO WHAT!!! Someone took time to create you. Someone loves you so much that the devil wants to stop you from fulfilling and living your life to the fullest. 1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has seized you except what is common to man.
